TThe 9th International Conference CPOTE 2026 will be organized in Kraków (Poland) in the Center of Energy of the AGH University of Krakow.
Center of Energy is a modern research center devoted to the study of energy technologies. Mostly important for CPOTE are its conference facilities and that it is located right in the middle of the university campus and only 1 km away from the historic city center.

The city
Kraków, the former historic capital of Poland is now one of the largest cities in the country and an important cultural, commercial, industrial and academic center. It is situated in the Lesser Poland region in the southern part of the country, by the Vistula river, at the edge of the picturesque Polish Jurassic Highland and not far from the foothills of the Carpathians. A significant part of the city has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List for more than 45 years. There is a great deal for the tourist to discover here, as there is a multitude of monuments forming the historical fabric of the city, and a rich artistic and cultural life.

Getting there
By air
Kraków Airport (KRK) is located just 8 km from the venue and offers international connections to many destinations. From the airport you can reach Kraków city center with a direct train connection that runs once every 30 minutes (or once every 60 minutes in the night hours). A single way ticket to the city center costs 20 PLN and can be bought in vending machines at the platform and inside the train. You can also use city buses, lines 209, 300 or 902.

By car
Kraków is easily reachable by car. It lies at the intersection of A4 and S7 motorways. It has direct motorway connections with nearby capitals - Warsaw, Berlin, Prague and Bratislava. Majority of Polish motorways are toll free for passenger vehicles. An exception is the section of A4 directly west of Kraków (Kraków – Mysłowice): the toll in one direction is 36 PLN, paid manually at toll gates.
However, the city has introduced a Low Emission Zone. It means that vehicles not registered in Poland must be registered online to obtain the permission to enter the city. By train
Kraków train station offers many connections to various destinations in Poland. There are also direct international connections to Berlin, Prague and Vienna.
